Drivers faced disruption on the A11, after a car was involved in a crash which left it on its roof.

The crash happened on the southbound carriageway, on the Attleborough bypass, at just after 11am today.

Firefighters, police and the East of England Ambulance Service went to the scene, which involved one car.

A police spokesman said there were two people in the vehicle and they managed to get themselves out of the car when the fire service arrived. Neither are believed to have suffered serious injuries.

Fire crews from Attleborough, Wymondham and Hethjersett went to the scene.

The southbound carriageway lane was closed between the B1077 and the B1111, while emergency services dealt with the crash.

Police warned drivers to expect delays and diversions and to try to avoid the area, with an oil spillage adding to the problems.

The road re-opened at just after 2.30pm.
