Two corporals from 231 Norwich Air Training Corps have achieved one of the highest accolades for road marching.
Two corporals from 231 Norwich Air Training Corps have achieved one of the highest accolades for road marching. Corporal Sam Kenny and Corporal Lukas Stearman, pictured, have undergone intense training over a period of 12 weeks with various marching exercises covering distances of up to 40km in a day for the final test at RAF Cosford. The RAF WARMA (Walking And Road Marching Association) event covered a gruelling 80km across two days. Two teams of 12 members from Norfolk and Suffolk wing participated in the event including the two corporals. One team lifted the final trophy for the best air training corps team. The second team was 20 minutes behind in the event which involved 800 air cadets. The 231 Norwich Squadron is based at Chartwell Road, Norwich and is for 13-18-year- olds.
