Miss Parker's modelling academy has bought the Miss Norfolk franchise to run the official heat for The Miss Great Britain contest. Miss Parker, who was the Miss Norwich and Miss Norfolk winner for the Miss Great Britain contest in 2005, said: 'They will be asked questions like why they should be chosen to represent Norfolk and what they enjoy about living here.

'They are all gorgeous and I'm sure it will be a very tough decision. The amount of talent we have in Norfolk at the moment is unreal; I get hundreds of messages a week from girls who want to become models.'

The evening will be presented by Channel 5 TV presenter Rob Lamarr and watched by about 400 people.
