A stage adaptation of classic television sitcom 'Allo 'Allo begins tomorrow in aid of a Norwich charity.

Laughing Monkey, a theatre group based in Norwich, will be performing the stage play of 'Allo Allo' at The Norwich Puppet Theatre to raise funds for child bereavement charity Nelson's Journey.

The Norfolk charity provide a service for children and young people under the age of 18 who live in Norfolk and whose parent, sibling or other significant person has died.

Paul Allum, who co-runs Laughing Monkey, said: 'We have supported other charities in the past and this year we are delighted to support Nelson's Journey with the 'Allo Allo' production.

'Nelson's Journey is a charity of special significance to one of the members of the theatre group who was supported by Nelson's Journey in the past and we would like to lend support and help in any way we can.'

The stage play of 'Allo 'Allo was originally performed about 25 years ago with many of the original cast reprising their roles from the long-running BBC television series.

Nicki Gibson, marketing and fundraising officer for Nelson's Journey, added: 'We are very grateful to Laughing Monkey and their dedication to raising funds for our charity. The stage play looks to be a great night of entertainment and we hope that the shows are a sell out. We wish them every success.'

The show will be performed at The Norwich Puppet Theatre, on the St Crispins Road roundabout, this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm.
