It was truly a champagne moment to mark the long-awaited return to Cromer of lifeboat hero Henry Blogg's last fishing boat. Corks were popped and the bubbly sprayed over the QJ and J during the ceremony at North Lodge Park.
The boat's restored hull now sits proudly next to the bust of Henry Blogg on the cliff top. The occasion on Sunday was the culmination of a three year restoration by volunteers at the Museum of the Broads, Stalham Staithe. Mr Blogg used the boat in the 1930s to earn a living as a crab fisherman.
Cromer mayor Tim Adams said: 'This is a fantastic tribute to one of Cromer's greatest and it is really important that we have the boat home where it should be. It has been a long time coming and a lot of work has gone into this particularly by the QJ and J Preservation Society and Museum of the Broads.'
