Students at Wymondham High Academy will celebrate the official opening of their new science, history, art facilities later this week.
Norfolk County Council has funded the £2.5m project to extend the academy's science block and develop a new stand alone building to cater for history and art.
The project, which was designed by NPS Property Consultants Ltd and built by RG Carter, includes three new science laboratories, five history classrooms, four classrooms for art, a dark room and an ICT room.
This means that classes can be relocated from the temporary mobiles on the school field into new facilities, with the latest equipment and technology.
Academy principal Russell Boulton said: 'These are state of the art facilities which will be a significant boost to learning across the curriculum.
'Science and the arts are our specialisms and we link many other subjects to these areas, meaning these classrooms will support learning in a range of fields.
'These new facilities will also support our growing number of students and we are thrilled to have received this investment at a time when funding is limited.'
