There's still time to cast your vote on one of the most controversial planning decisions Norwich has seen for years.

Proposals for a new Asda supermarket, community facilities and other shops were last week turned down by Norwich City Council's planning committee.

The Norwich Evening News has since been reporting on the fall-out and reaction to the decision, which led council leader Brenda Arthur to accuse the councillors who sank the plans of turning down 400 jobs for the city.

They have defended the decision, however, arguing that the supermarket giant should not have been allowed to ride roughshod over the council's own planning guidelines, and that job figures were misleading.

On Wednesday, the Norwich Evening News asked: 'Was the city council's planning committee right to turn down the plans a new Asda superstore?' – and we want you to have your say.

You can vote on the poll above, or write to Asda superstore vote, Editorial newsdesk, Prospect House, Rouen Road, Norwich NR1 1RE.
