Car fire in Norwich

Firefighters were called to cars on fire in Norwich in the early hours of the morning.

The blaze broke out in City Road, Lakenham, just after 1am today (Tuesday).

One fire engine from the Carrow station was sent to the incident.

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “One fire was extinguished and the further vehicle had been scorched by fire spread.”

Firefighters left the scene just before 1.15am.
