St Peter Mancroft was lit with candles and decked with festive decorations for the occasion.

Evening News editor Nigel Pickover told the congregation that 2014 had been a good year for the newspaper with successful campaigns launched and a growth in audience numbers.

The church choir began the singing with Once in Royal David's City.

Waitrose at Eaton donated mince pies for the service, which was held in aid of the Mancroft Project which supports young people in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
