A Norwich social enterprise will be sharing the value of community work for businesses as part of a national social media campaign.

Community interest company Your Own Place, which works to prevent youth homelessness, is hosting an event on Thursday, October 11 to mark #SocialSaturday, which aims to get businesses thinking about opportunities to get involved in work or fundraising events for local good causes.

There will be two guest speakers at the event at No 8 Thorpe Road in Norwich: Dr Andy Wood, chief executive of Adnams and a lecturer in corporate social responsibility at the University of East Anglia; and Jeremy Willis, director of procurement at PwC, which has recently signed up to the Corporate Challenge to bring more social enterprises into its supply chain.

The event will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, with opportunities for questions and networking.
