Academics and employers will be making the business case for looking after staff health and wellbeing at a breakfast hosted by Norwich Business School.

The free event, taking place at the UEA on Wednesday, January 10, will examine the subject of wellbeing in the workplace. Each year 140 million working days are lost to sickness absence in the UK, costing businesses an estimated £29bn. But research shows that for every £1 a business spends on wellbeing and health initiatives, they could see a return of between £2 and £34.

The breakfast starts at 7.30am and will be opened by Graham Manville, director of employability and innovation at Norwich Business School, with talks from Olga Tregaskis, professor of international human resource management at the business school, and Mark Burns, workplace health manager at Thriving Places.
