The company behind a string of Norwich nightclubs and bars will be in the High Court next week.
Code Red Promotions, which runs nightclub Mercy, gay bar Flaunt, Rocco’s restaurant and gentlemen’s club Lace on Prince of Wales Road, is facing a petition to wind up brought by Norwich City Council – which is trying to recover £200,000 in unpaid business rates from the company.
The case will be heard at the High Court of Justice, Business and Property Courts of England and Wales on April 11 from 10.30am.
Code Red Promotions has been placed in provisional liquidation with Jeremy Willmont and Lee Causer of Moore Stephens appointed as joint provisional liquidators.
The venues have been closed since proceedings began on February 15.
The four venues make up a significant part of Norwich’s nightlife in an area popular with students and visitors which has featured in a documentary by Jeremy Kyle.
