Growing construction company Ovamill has been doing building work on its own site, reflecting the Beccles-based firm’s expansion.
It has recently completed projects include work at Norwich City’s Carrow Road, for Robinson’s car dealerships across East Anglia and roadways for a new retail park at Sweet Briar Road in Norwich.
The company’s turnover increased from £3.8m in 2015 to more than £5m this year and, nearly 12 years after being founded in Gorleston by directors Keith Betts, Mark Everard and Khan Bilyard, it now employs 29 people.
The company moved to Anson Way on Beccles Business Park in 2010, originally into a portable building. It then relocated inside the unit, which has been doubled in size through the extension.
Director Mark Everard said: “We are really pleased with the company growth, which has been steady and has come through meeting clients’ needs and through word-of-mouth recommendation.”
Mr Everard said Ovamill was also planning for future growth having recently bought extra land next door so it could expand its site further.
The company recently completed a £1.3m, 1300 sq m car workshop at Peterborough for dealership client Robinsons, and has a further near-£1m contract involving building a new Volkswagen showroom at the site.
It has also built a £1m warehouse unit for industrial equipment distributors Oaasis at Gapton Hall in Great Yarmouth, and is currently carrying out groundworks for a new decommissioning site at the town’s Outer Harbour.
Other projects include the shell of a unit at Mile Cross in Norwich, and repairs, concreting and construction work at Norwich City Football Club’s Carrow Road stadium and Colney training ground.
