An East Anglian accountancy firm has continued its expansion across the region after buying a West Norfolk practice.

Aston Shaw, which has offices in Norwich, Ipswich, Dereham and Great Yarmouth, has acquired King's Lynn firm Kirby & Haslam. The move is the latest in a series of acquisitions and comes after Neil Kirby, the eponymous director of the practice, decided to retire late last year.

Kirby & Haslam with all its staff will continue to operate from its King's Lynn office but will now do so under the Aston Shaw brand.

The deal will also see Aston Shaw director Dominic Shaw work with the West Norfolk firm once again having qualified there between 1999 and 2004. He said: 'Having worked at Kirby & Haslam for five years, I understand how they work and the level of service they provide to their clients.'

Kirby & Haslam director Matt Roberts will head Aston Shaw's King's Lynn branch.
