A well-known Norwich building close to the heart of the city centre has been put up for sale.
The freehold for St Crispin's House, a 115,000 sq ft site on Duke Street, has been put on the market with commercial property agents Arnold Keys.
The building was opened in 1975 to provide extra space for Her Majesty's Stationery Office staff after a proposed extension to Sovereign House – situated on the other side of the inner ring road – was rejected.
It is now occupied by The Stationery Office; Banner Business Services, part of the EDP Top100 company office2office; Countrywide Legal Indemnities and Central Mortgages.
Guy Gowing, of Arnold Keys, said: 'Possible future opportunities might include a mixed use residential/office scheme, a phased residential conversion of the entire building, or even conversion of part of the building to a city centre hotel.'
