Claire Brooks, managing director of Box-It East in Risby near Bury St Edmunds, said being accepted on to the programme in 2016 had been an endorsement which the company had since built upon.
'It was a huge pat on the back that said Box-It was recognised as one to watch in Norfolk and Suffolk – it raised our profile and we have had media exposure we may not have had otherwise.
'We also applied for £16,000 in grant funding which has allowed us to increase capacity, take on a new driver and add an apprentice. We would not have had the confidence to do that without being a Future50 member.'
The document storage company has added three team members in the past year and now employs 11 people, while turnover has grown from £732,000 to £845,000.
Other notable members of the Future50 include the likes of Liftshare.com, Redwell Brewing, and the Hearing Care Centre, while Epos Now, Lisa Angel and the English Whisky Company have all come through the programme.
The scheme is run by enterprise agency Nwes and Archant, publisher of the EDP and EADT, with the support of partners Birketts, Lovewell Blake, Barclays and the University of East Anglia.
It is open to growing and ambitious businesses employing no more than 250 people and with a maximum turnover of £40m.
Successful applicants will demonstrate how they can have a positive impact on the Norfolk and Suffolk economy over the next three years, and all entries will be reviewed by our panel.
