A care assistant from Bowthorpe has been recognised for her dedication to providing high quality, compassionate care.
Wendy Margitson was chosen from 99 nominees and was presented with the Heart of Gold award at Brooklands Care Home, Norwich.
Wendy said: 'I feel overwhelmed and surprised to be the new Heart of Gold Ambassador. My team are amazing at Brooklands and I would like to thank them all for their support.'
The chairman of Carebase, the company that owns Brooklands, Alnur Dhanani, was also on hand to present Mrs Margitson with a commemorative necklace.
Julia Chapman-Wright, manager of Brooklands said: 'Wendy has such a kind and gentle nature. All our residents respond to her so well and staff love working alongside her. She would do anything for anyone in need and has a great sense of humour. She exemplifies what excellent care is about - I'm thrilled she won.'
