Blaze breaks out in Norwich city centre

A blaze that broke out in a home in the heart of Norwich centre was put out after the efforts of two fire teams this afternoon.

Fire engines from Earlham and Carrow were called to a private address on Colegate just after 2.30pm yesterday. It was here that they used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, before going on to disperse the smoke from the building using a fan.

There are not reported to have been any injuries as a result of the fire.
