Bereavement books to help support Norfolk's children and young people affected by loss have recently been donated to a Norwich-based charity by company Aquaterra Energy.

The books will help charity Nelson's Journey support its users who have experienced the loss of a significant person through particularly traumatic circumstances.

Ryan Doubleday, child bereavement support worker, said: 'We are so grateful for the donation of these books. They are a fabulous resource that will continue to allow us to ensure that children have the best possible opportunity to comprehend and process the traumatic death of a love one.'

The topics in the books cover a variety of issues including coping with being a teenager whilst dealing with a close bereavement. They provide information, advice and practical ideas.

Offshore engineering solutions company, Aquaterra Energy, has been working with Nelson's Journey for nearly two years, and when the charity ran out of the books the company stepped in and purchased a number of resources.

John Rainbow, IT manager at Aquaterra Energy, said: 'We are proud to support this invaluable charity. By purchasing these bereavement books to support children and young people we can help Nelson's Journey continue its vital work.'

• The books retail between £5.99 and £6.99 and if anyone wishes to make a donation to purchase these books, they can send a cheque made payable to 'Nelson's Journey' to Carol Plunkett at Trafalgar House, 4 Meridian Way, Norwich, NR7 0TA.
