Real ale fans have helped to raise more than £9,000 for Norwich's Hamlet Centre Trust at the city's popular beer festival.
The £9,500 was raised at the 37th Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Norwich Beer Festival and was almost double the amount raised for other charities in previous years, with some funds still to come in.
Held at St Andrew's and Blackfriars Halls from October 27 to November 1, the Norwich and Norfolk branch of CAMRA nominated The Hamlet Centre Trust to be its Charity of the Year.
Charity staff, trustees and volunteers were invited to attend to collect donations and unspent beer tokens from Beer Festival attendees.
Pauline Morgan, chief executive, of The Hamlet Centre Trust, said: 'We are overwhelmed by the generosity of CAMRA and the attendees of the 37th Norwich Beer Festival.
'We are so privileged and grateful to be nominated as the Norwich and Norfolk CAMRA Charity of the Year and the amount raised has exceeded all expectations.
'We would like to thank CAMRA and everybody who both donated and supported us in raising such an amazing amount.'
The money raised will go towards providing ongoing support for families of children and young adults with disabilities.
The charity runs a children's centre in Johnson Place, off Vauxhall Street, and an adults' centre at its original base in Ella Road, Thorpe Hamlet.
