Norwich Fashion Week is set to have an injection of glamour as a celebrity model joins the catwalk team.
Junaid Ahmed won the most popular UK Asian model at The Asian Fashion Awards last year and has modelled for Matalan and Beales department store as well as starring in television commercials for Clearasil, Nivea and Marks and Spencers. The 18-year-old is currently filming a documentary about his modelling career to date which is set to air on Channel 4 in June.
His career has made him a star in Pakistan and in his home town of Peterborough, and now he wants to be part of Norwich's very own fashion week.
'I've never been to Norwich before but when I heard about Norwich Fashion Week I wanted to be part of the project right away,' says Mr Ahmed who counts The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy Childs and Lauren Goodyear as his close friends.
'I enjoy meeting new people so I cannot wait to meet the rest of the modelling team.'
