Staff at a Norwich care home dressed in 1940s costumes to celebrate a medal presentation for a resident who had fought in World War Two.
The ceremony was held on September 29 at Ashfields care home in honour of 95-year-old John Frew, who saw action at the D-Day landings in Normandy and across France, Belgium and Germany.
Sergeant Major Rushton of the Royal Anglian Regiment presented Mr Frew with a medal for his contributions to the war, and honoured him with a new title, the rank of chevalier, or knight, of the French army. The veteran's family and friends were also present.
Staff dressed up in costumes from the 1940s and sang and danced to a Vera Lynn tribute act.
After receiving the medal, Mr Frew said: 'I don't really know what to say... I am honoured and I hope to enjoy the next few years to come.'
