Archant has mooted the idea of relocating its headquarters at Prospect House in Norwich.
The media company, which is the largest publisher of regional and local newspapers, magazines and associated digital media in the UK, has been based at its current location in the city centre for almost fifty years.
Up until the opening of the Thorpe Print Centre in 1996 Archant's varied print portfolio was printed on site at Rouen Road.
There are now more than 500 employees based at Prospect House and Archant's chief executive Jeff Henry hopes the company will remain in the centre of Norwich.
In an email to staff Mr Henry said the building had become too big for the business's current needs and that a review process is now underway.
'I look forward to this new chapter in our Norwich future,' he added.
It is expected Archant will remain where it is until at least 2019.
