Detectives in Lowestoft issued a renewed plea for witnesses today – a week after an acid attack on a young woman in Pakefield that left her with life-changing facial injuries.
With two men already arrested in connection with the attack, detectives carried out anniversary checks at the scene in London Road South this morning as part of their ongoing investigation.
The victim, who is in her 20s, remains in a stable condition in hospital after having corrosive substance sprayed at her face, neck and chest in the incident.
Police believe a sports-style drink bottle – possibly a Lucozade bottle – was used in the attack which happened close to a bus stop at about 8.20am last Thursday.
In an attempt to find new witnesses, officers were back at the scene of the assault this morning and spoke to people in the hope of finding new information or witnesses.
