Anglia In Bloom 2017: Full list of winners and regional mentions

This year held at the Ocean Rooms in Gorleston, the ceremony saw the culmination of months of judging and deliberation, with the committee awarding gold, silver gilt, silver and bronze awards to recognition of each communities floral efforts.

There were also overall winners crowned across more than 20 different categories - many of which were brought home to Norfolk and Waveney.

Bob Ollier, Anglia in Bloom chairman, said: 'The Anglia in Bloom communities should be justifiably proud of this year's achievements.

'This year, standards continued on from last year with excellent awards achieved, with 50 gold, 27 silver gilt, nine silver and one bronze awarded.'

One place in particular which enjoyed a great deal of success in the awards was Filby. The village itself was named winner of the village category, while Filby Bridge was best restaurant and Adrian Thompson claimed special recognition for long and voluntary service.

Best village: Filby

Best urban community: Waterlees (Wisbech)

Best coastal: Hunstanton. Gold: Great Yarmouth. Silver Gilt: Lowestoft

Best business improvement district: Norwich BID

Best historic and heritage parks: Wrest Park and Garden

Best large park: Eaton Park, Norwich. Gold: Abbey Gardens, Nowton Park, both Bury St Edmunds

Best medium park: Halstead public gardens. Silver: Halesworth Town Park

Best small park: Nicholas Everitt Park, Lowestoft. Gold: St Peter's Gardens, Wisbech. Silver gilt: Jenny Lind Park, Norwich, Kensington Gardens, Lowestoft

Best small cemeteries: Old Linslade Cemetery. Silver gilt: Wisbech General Cemetery. Silver: Halesworth Closed Cemetery, Holt Cemetery

Best large cemetery: Dunstable
