Police have arrested two people on suspicion of fraud by false representation.

Officers attended an address on Cardinal Close in Easton this morning, September 24, as part of an investigation when a man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were arrested.

The pair were taken for questioning to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where they remain.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Officers attended a residential address in Cardinal Close, Easton this morning as a part of a proactive policing operation.

"A man aged in his 30s and a woman aged in her 40s were arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation. They have both been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain."

Neighbours described seeing police in the quiet neighbourhood.

One woman said she saw a police van, a police car and three police officers.

Another woman, who did not want to be named, highlighted how the area was one where some neighbours looked out for each other.

However, others described how some of their neighbours chose to keep themselves to themselves.
