A new website is offering free guidance to families navigating the family courts.
Launched by the University of East Anglia (UEA) Law Clinic and Norfolk Community Law Service (NCLS), the Norfolk Family Courts Information website aims to help families in the region better understand the family justice system.
The site offers support on writing court documents, understanding options, and finding local sources of advice.
Prof Polly Morgan, professor of family law and director of the UEA Law Clinic, said: "I've worked with the NCLS family team for many years and have seen first-hand the huge demand for support – especially for family and domestic abuse advice.

"We created this website to provide clear, practical guidance on everything they may need to know – from completing court forms to understanding how decisions are made.
"When court proceedings are necessary, better access to information can help people present their cases more effectively, enabling courts to make decisions based on clearer evidence and supporting a smoother process for everyone involved."
The resource covers topics such as divorce, child maintenance, domestic abuse protection and practical information about attending court.
It was developed with input from NCLS and other family law organisations to ensure the information is accurate and accessible.
Tia, a lived experience expert at Norfolk County Council's Children's Services, contributed to the project using her own experience of the family court system.
She said: "Parents need support just as much as children, and I feel that services are really listening to parents and giving us a voice.
"This website will make a difference for people who are struggling, unsure of what to expect, or feeling anxious.
"It will help parents understand what to expect and where they can access support."
