Rail passengers are facing delays between London Liverpool Street and Norwich due to a fault.

There is a points fault at Ilford which has left only two of the usual four tracks in operation.

Greater Anglia and Elizabeth Line services are sharing a track, which is leading to congestion and delays.

The disruption is expected to continue until 3.15pm.

Routes affected include services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich, including Diss.

Greater Anglia and Network Rail have apologised to passengers for the inconvenience.

Advance purchase ticket holders are permitted to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.

Passengers delayed by 15 minutes or more may be eligible for compensation through Greater Anglia’s Delay Repay scheme.
