A millionaire kicked out of his local leisure centre after a "fat-shaming" row says the manager has continued to "demand" membership fees from him.
Adam Lopez has criticised bosses at Nuffield Health Norwich after they tried to withdraw £70 from his bank account despite him being banned from the Barrack Street site - and 109 of the chain's other branches across the country.
The general manager emailed him this week after being unable to collect his September fee, even though his membership had been "terminated with immediate effect" on August 13.
The 40-year-old says he cancelled his direct debit himself after being notified he couldn't return to the club for lashing out at a woman on social media who he claims "fat-shamed" him in the pool on August 3.
He said: “Why are they even trying to take the monthly direct debit off me?
“I am looking into the financial conduct rules.
"If they have broken them I will raise a complaint and follow the procedures from there."
A spokesman from Nuffield Health said: “The emails shared with Adam were automated requests which were sent in error.
"We apologise and have corrected the issue to ensure no further payment requests are sent.”
Mr Lopez - a former forklift driver from Mattishall who won £1m on a National Lottery scratchcard - fell out with the club after he posted on Instagram about a woman he said had fat-shamed him while he was using the gym's pool, calling her a "chubby bird".
He claims the member had asked him about his diet and suggested he should take up sumo wrestling.
He has since joined the Gym Group at Sweet Briar Retail Park.
