A Hollywood star and writers of BAFTA-winning shows will take audiences behind-the-scenes at a special event in Norwich.
Star Wars actor Peter Serafinowicz, along with Motherland and Amandaland co-creators Barunka O’Shaughnessy and Helen Serafinowicz, are coming to the city next month.
The talk, titled Inside the writers’ lounge: Motherland & Amandaland, will be held at The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia (UEA) on October 15 at 6.30pm.
The event, organised by Norfolk Screen in collaboration with the UEA, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the two BBC sitcoms, focusing on the humour and realities of parenting and school gate drama.
Craig Higgins, co-founder of Norfolk Screen, said: “We are thrilled to welcome two of the BAFTA-winning creative forces behind Motherland and Amandaland for what will be an hilarious exploration of how everyday parental one-upmanship becomes some of the sharpest sitcom writing on television.
“Joining them is actor Peter Serafinowicz, who brings his insight into crafting Johannes – one of Amandaland’s standout characters from season one.
“It promises to be a brilliantly fun and insightful evening.”
Tickets are £6 for students, £10 for concessions and £15 for general admission.
