A gang of teens believed to be behind a raid on a city centre pasty shop are still at large.
Police are continuing their hunt after the Cornish Bakehouse on Haymarket was broken into last week.
Officers were called at around 7.45pm on August 25 following reports that a group of people had forced entry and stolen stock including food and drink from the outlet.
A man who saw the break-in but wished to remain anonymous said he witnessed a gang of teenagers causing a disturbance at the Haymarket and attempting to steal from the bakery.
“There were 11 or 12 teenagers," he said.
“There were at least five trying to get in and the others were fighting and filming each other.
“I think they were trying to get the cash register. They tried to get in the door with a crowbar and couldn’t get it open, so they ran to get a screwdriver and then they got it open.
“One of them got the screwdriver into the lock and opened. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. He slapped it and it opened.
“I couldn’t believe it."
