A woman from Norfolk discovered she may have interacted with her long-lost brother countless times on the train without knowing it.
Marie, 61, who works for Greater Anglia and lives near Norwich, is featuring on ITV’s Long Lost Family, presented by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, where she was supported in her search for her birth father.
She grew up with her grandparents near Dereham after her 17-year-old mother was unable to care for her.
"I lost my grandad at 16 which broke my heart and left me confused and angry," Marie said.
"It also led me to want to find out more about my dad.
"I had a name and a vague location of where he may be but every avenue I went down I hit a brick wall."
She explained how lucky she felt at being able to be part of the ITV show and how the supportive the production team were in her journey.
Although the search for her father was unsuccessful, the show discovered she had three half-brothers also living in Norfolk - Anthony, Paul and Ian.
"Davina told me on the last day of filming," Marie said.
"It's so strange as one one my brothers lives practically down the road and another has known my uncle for years."
Her brother Paul lives in north Norfolk and took the Greater Anglia train from Sheringham to Norwich most days for work - a service which Marie regularly worked on as a train conductor.
"It has been a life-changing experience in such a positive way," Marie added.
"I am now in constant contact with my brothers after the filming earlier this year.
"I am really looking forward to it being shared as it has been a long journey.
"For anyone who is in the same boat as me, I would encourage them to keep trying as I now have three amazing brothers."
The episode will be aired tonight on ITV1 at 9pm on Thursday (September 3).
