Police have warned homeowners after receiving reports of suspicious activity.
The incidents took place in the Lakenham and Tuckswood areas on Wednesday.
The first call came in at 12.15pm, regarding a woman knocking on doors in Doman Road.
She claimed to be from Virgin Media, asking to carry out Wi-Fi speed checks.
The second report was made just after 1.30pm, involving a group of men knocking on doors in Lyhart Road.
They were offering to tarmac driveways and were also spotted in Welsford Road.
A spokesman for the police said: "Doorstep rogue traders pretend to be builders, gardeners or handymen offering to carry out work or 'urgent' repairs to your house or garden.
"The work is often poor, unnecessary and the price quoted can increase rapidly.
"Before agreeing to any work or allowing anyone into your home:
"Do not feel pressured into making an immediate decision.
"Obtain quotes from reputable traders and seek recommendations where possible.
"Contact police if you feel intimidated or believe you may be the victim of a scam."
