Norfolk has been named one of the top places in England to keep children entertained during the school holidays.
Ranked eighth out of nearly 50 counties in a new study, the county earned praise for its mix of affordable and family-friendly activities.
The research, carried out by outdoor play equipment specialists Outdoortoys, considered factors such as the number of free things to do with kids, hotel costs and holiday search demand.
Norfolk offers 352 activities for children, including 339 that are free to enter, with the average price of a three-star hotel in the county at around £101 per night.
Alex McMullan, product designer at Outdoortoys, said: "The summer holidays can put a lot of pressure on parents to fill every day with something exciting, but children do not always need expensive days out or long journeys to have a memorable summer.
"What matters most is variety.
"Mixing bigger days out with simple outdoor activities at home can help keep children active and entertained without making the holidays feel overwhelming or unaffordable."
