A chant that became legendary on the pitch at Norwich City’s Carrow Road ground resurfaced on stage during a hit band's gig in the city.
On Friday night, The Streets headlined at Rock N Roll Circus at Earlham Park, performing their landmark album A Grand Don’t Come For Free in full.
The Streets rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their debut album Original Pirate Material, featuring tracks such as Has It Come to This?, Let’s Push Things Forward, and Weak Become Heroes.
Frontman Mike Skinner, the Birmingham-born rapper behind the UK garage and hip-hop act, opened the show in Norwich by spray-painting the words "Where are you. Let's be avin’ you" on a bus stop on stage.
The phrase was famously shouted by Delia Smith, TV cook and Norwich former majority shareholder, during a Premier League match at Carrow Road on February 28, 2005.
At half-time, with Norwich having let a 2–0 lead slip to 2–2 against Manchester City, Ms Smith grabbed the microphone and delivered the now iconic rallying cry in a bid to fire up the crowd.
Despite her efforts, Norwich went on to lose 3–2, with a late goal from Robbie Fowler sealing the result for Manchester City.
