Forest Healthcare centre’s focus on connecting residents with the local community

At Hassingham House, part of the Forest Healthcare group, ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to engage in crafts, groups, social clubs and days out is an important part of everyday life, helping residents remain connected to family, friends and the wider Norfolk community.

Community events such as the Summer Fete encourage visitors to spend time with residents, where they might engage in conversations, share stories and memories, or introduce older generations to younger ones.

All of this takes place in the welcoming surroundings of a centre equipped to provide 24-hour nursing support, care for younger adults with complex care needs, and personalised assistance for rehabilitation residents.

Alongside annual and seasonal events, Hassingham House encourages residents to enjoy a varied programme of activities including music performances, quizzes, flower arranging, keep-fit sessions, shopping trips and celebrations throughout the year.

Supported by a compassionate and enthusiastic team, the centre aims to make residential care welcoming, engaging and community-focused while ensuring residents with both short and long-term care needs remain connected to family, friends and local life.

All are welcome to attend the Summer Fete on Saturday, August 15 between 2:30pm and 5pm, with the team looking forward to welcoming local residents and families to  enjoy the entertainment and discover more about life at Hassingham House.
