Two brothers are preparing to cycle 100 miles on a tandem bike in memory of their dad.
Glen and Owen Spooner are tackling the challenge on August 23 to honour their father, Mark Spooner, who completed a similar ride with their grandfather, David Betts.
Mark died in a car accident in 1991.
Now, the pair are paying tribute to him, putting their fitness to the test and cycling across the county.
Glen Spooner said: “When I lost my dad, I was only a baby.
“He did a charity ride with my grandad.
"Owen and I would like to recreate that.
"We have chosen to fundraise for Amber's Army.
"We are close with Amanda and Jon, the founders, and have done as much fundraising as possible for Amber’s Army in the past.
"This is a little bit different for us."
He added that their grandad, who is now 85, is "really supportive" of their band, Sons of Mark.
The pair, who have been likened to the American musical duo, the Everly Brothers, are the musicians behind Our Fine City, an original song adopted by Norwich City football club.
"Granddad still comes to as many gigs as possible even though he uses a wheelchair" Glen said.
“We are hoping he will be at the finish line" he added.
The ride will start at the Amber’s Army shop in Drayton and finish at the Red Lion pub, passing through Reepham, Fakenham, and Wells.
Glen added: “We haven’t practised on the tandem bike at all.
“We are both fairly active but are relying on the adrenaline."
So far, they have raised £460 on their JustGiving page and are hoping to reach £1,000.
Amber’s Army is a family-run charity founded in memory of Amber Sheehy, an eight-year-old girl who died from a brain tumour in January 2023.
