A group of people was seen on the roof of a city building during a daylight attempted break-in.
Police were called to King Street in Norwich at 5pm yesterday after reports of three people attempting to break into a building.
Eyewitnesses saw four police cars outside All Hallows Guest House on Rouen Road, just by King Street.
The suspects escaped before officers arrived.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said despite a thorough area search being conducted, the group was not found.
