A man is set to stand trial next week accused of murdering his estranged wife outside of her home in Norwich.
Raymond Williams has been charged with the murder of Tania Williams, who was found in Catherine Gardens in Thorpe St Andrew.
Police had been called to reports of a woman injured in the street at about 11.45pm on January 17 this year, but the mother-of-four was pronounced dead at the scene.
Williams, who was arrested the following day during the early hours of January 18, in Dereham Road, is due to stand trial next week, having previously denied murder.
The 61-year-old appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday (July 21) for a pre-trial review which heard both the prosecution and defence were "trial ready".
Judge Anthony Bate said the trial, which was initially listed for Monday, July 27, will start on Tuesday, July 28 and could last for "some weeks".
Charles Myatt attended the hearing for the prosecution, and John Morgans represented Williams, formerly of Catherine Gardens, but who appeared over video link from HMP Norwich.
Ms Williams was a well-known member of the congregation at the parish church of Thorpe St Andrew and worked for around seven years at City College Norwich as an administrator.
Friends and colleagues have spoken of her "endearing personality".
The Rector, Revd James Stewart, has described her as someone who showed "love and kindness wherever she went".
Jerry White, CEO and principal of the college, said: "Tania's helpful and supportive attitude - coupled with a great range of different hair colourings - always made a positive impression on everyone she worked with."
