A life-size Jordan Pickford cut-out was stolen "right under the landlord's nose" during England’s historic victory over Mexico.
The cardboard likeness of the England goalkeeper vanished from The Crown pub in Costessey, where it has been since the World Cup kicked off in June.
The landlord of pub, Steve Brown, discovered the cardboard Pickford had gone missing during the Round of 16 match that kicked off at 2am on Monday.
Mr Brown said he was serving in the other bar when it was mysteriously taken.
Unusually attached to his cut-out companion, Mr Brown is desperate for Pickford’s return before England take on Norway on Saturday night.
“We need him to keep out Erling Haaland,” he said.
The "who done it" is now a big talking point for the regulars at the pub.
One punter called Nathan Dack said he "couldn't believe it was taken without anyone noticing".
The landlord is offering two free pints and a packet of crisps for the person who safely returns Pickford.
