Hidden cellar in Upper St Giles is up for sale for £125,000

Tucked away underground in Upper St Giles Street is a 27-metre-long hidden space.

The entrance to the subterranean pad is at ground floor level on a pathway beside a block of flats on the south side of the street

The unusual space was previously used by Eaton Rifle Club.

The unique space is located beneath Upper St Giles (Image: Pymm & Co) According to a virtual tour given by estate agent Pymm & Co, they believe the chasm was built as a cellar in the Victorian era.

However, the agents said they were not sure when the cellar was built but are going to check the history behind the unique space.

Pymm & Co's description of the property reads: "We would advise any interested parties to speak to the local planning authority in regards to the type of use that would be permitted.

The space is up for £125,000 on a 125-year lease.
