An employee benefits team has won a national award for its work with protection policies.
The Alan Boswell Group's employee benefits team was honoured with the Dr Marius Barnard Recognition Award at the Scottish Widows event in London.
The award recognises the team's work making protection policies a "cornerstone of their client offering" and ensuring clients are well-supported in meeting their protection needs.
The award is named after Dr Marius Barnard, who pioneered the concept of critical illness insurance.
It recognises firms and individuals who show "exceptional dedication" to the industry, ensuring "protection remains integral to their proposition."

Dr Barnard's vision led to the introduction of the first critical illness policy on August 6, 1983, designed to provide financial support to patients diagnosed with severe illnesses, such as cancer and heart disease.
Dee Myhill, senior employee benefits consultant, said: "We’re proud to receive this award, which is a testament to our team’s dedication to ensuring our clients have financial protection when they need it most."
Will Gaines, protection specialist, joined Ms Myhill in accepting the award.
