A man has been arrested after armed police swarmed into a city suburb yesterday evening.
Police were called to the scene in Goodhale Road, Bowthorpe, shortly after 6pm after a member of the public became concerned for the safety of a man following an earlier domestic incident.
They also received reports that the man may have had a weapon.

As a result, armed officers were called out to the house and searched the property, although no weapon was found.
Following the incident, a man in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of controlling behaviour, criminal damage, harassment and assault.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning, where he remains.
