Police officers have been on patrol in crime hotspots across Norwich as a week-long crackdown on street drinking and anti-social behaviour begins.
On Monday, officers targeted Norwich Market, Prince of Wales Road, Eastbourne Place, Tombland, Norwich Train Station, Exchange Street, London Street, Upper King Street and Chapelfield Gardens.
The extra foot patrols are part of the £1 million Op Focus initiative launched in May.
Chief Inspector Ed Brown, based at Bethel Street police station and leading the Op Focus project, said: “We routinely target anti-social behaviour because we know how much this impacts the quality of life for residents and businesses.

“Communities feel reassured by seeing officers out and about on patrol, and we try to be as visible as possible.
"It sends a message that the behaviour isn’t acceptable and won’t be tolerated.”
Police say hotspots in Norwich and Great Yarmouth accounted for 16.54pc of street-level serious crimes between January 2019 and December 2023.
Op Focus combines targeted and high-visibility foot patrols with specialist problem-solving advisors working with local authorities to address the drivers of anti-social behaviour and serious violence.
