Two boys have been arrested after a tyre was thrown at a moving vehicle in Costessey.
Officers were called to Dereham Road just after 10.30pm on Sunday following reports of the incident which smashed the vehicle's windscreen.
Response officers and the dog unit attended and searched the area for the suspects.
Two teenage boys were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remain there this morning.
This incident comes after a string of similar attacks on vehicles in the area.
In total this summer, more than 10 cars have had their windows smashed and bodywork dented by thrown objects, likely stones, while driving between Longwater Retail Park and Roundwell Park.
In one of the incidents, a car's rear and side windows were smashed while it was driving along the 40mph zone.
Mum-of-two Billie Rush also shared she had feared for her life when a projectile struck her windscreen.
Costessey councillor Gary Blundell warned the incidents posed a “serious concern of loss of life".
In August, a Norfolk Police spokeswoman said the spate was being taken "very seriously".
"We know these incidents are concerning for the community, and they are being taken very seriously by the officers investigating, with all lines of enquiry being explored," she explained.
"Patrols have been increased in the area between key time frames, typically in the late evenings and early hours of the morning, but we also endeavour to be as visible as possible during the day."
