People living in a city neighbourhood have suffered a spate of criminal behaviour after several car windscreens were smashed overnight.
Those living in Gertrude Road and the surrounding streets reported seeing a man vandalising cars parked in the area.
Locals said they were awoken by the sound of smashing glass in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
One victim, Sarah Chow, said: "Around 1:30am there was someone going around smashing cars with what could be a stone or a rock, perhaps.
"My back windscreen was smashed to bits.
"They have also smashed my neighbour's windscreen and a couple of the other cars in the road.
"People have found rocks on their back seats."
When Sarah put an appeal on social media for any doorbell or CCTV footage, she was flooded with messages from other locals whose cars had experienced the same fate.
Several people have been reporting the crime online.
One woman, who also lives in Gertrude Road but wishes to remain anonymous, said: "It was a single male that did this.
"I live opposite and heard the first bang on a car, but the window didn't break.
"I looked out my window and saw the man walking on the path towards the Coop.

"He disappeared under the trees and then I heard the sound of two or three more car windows smashing in the distance.
"I moved to this area nine years ago and I've never seen anything like this before."
This shortly follows a series of smashed car windows in Dereham Road, with suspects believed to be launching rocks at moving vehicles late at night.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk police confirmed that the force was investigating the incidents in Gertrude Road.
She said: "Police received a report of criminal damage on August 13, 2024.
"The incident occurred overnight between August 12 and 13 inn Gertrude Road when the victim’s car window was smashed.
"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing."
