Plans to split a former restaurant in Chantry Place in two have been given the green light.

The empty Byron Burger in Chantry Place is set to become two separate eateries after Norwich City Council approved the plans.

Rosa's Thai is confirmed as one of the new restaurants and will open on October 7 after extensive renovation works at the site.

Another empty unit opposite the site is earmarked to become an Everyman Cinema, for which bosses have now requested permission to open between 9am and 2am every day - as opposed to the previously permitted hours of 10am and 10pm.

Under the council's decision notice, work has to begin at the former Byron Burger within three years.

Boarding is already in place.
