A group of Norwich car dealerships is set for change after a company from across the pond announces a take-over.
Inchcape Retail, which owns BMW and MINI dealerships in Dereham Road and Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships in Broadland Gate, has been bought out by Texan company Group 1 Automotive.
The Norwich shops make up some of the 54 dealerships purchased by the company in the UK, which have been predicted to make around $2.7b yearly.
"This transformative acquisition effectively doubles our UK footprint, giving us access to new markets throughout England with a collection of outstanding brands," said Group 1’s president and chief executive officer Daryl Kenningham.
