A bus company is investigating a brawl between one of its drivers and another motorist on the A47.

It has emerged that the bus driver who was involved in a fight as he drove Thorpe St Andrew School pupils home last Tuesday is employed by Dolphin Travel.

A spokesman for the Norwich-based, family-run bus company confirmed today that it is carrying out an internal investigation into the incident which involved one of its drivers.

The company is contracted by Norfolk County Council to provide bus services to the school.

Last week, a 33-second clip that circulated after the incident showed pupils watching on in shock as their bus driver was thumped by another driver near the Brundall roundabout.

The cause of the fight remains unconfirmed but a boy in the video clip can be heard saying "to be fair the other guy did pull out in front of him".Norwich Evening News: Dolphin Travel is based in NorwichDolphin Travel is based in Norwich (Image: Google Maps)

Norfolk Constabulary confirmed today that enquiries into the fight are ongoing.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk County Council said that they are investigating the incident with Dolphin Travel and "will deal with the incident appropriately".
