A Norwich father-of-seven has won a huge £10,000 jackpot prize after battling head-to-head in a bingo tournament.
The lucky slots player, Andrew Thorpe, scooped the win in the final round after a series of knockout games at Mecca Bingo, Luton on May 28.
Entering the competition from one of the largest UK Bingo operators for "a bit of fun", he competed against 15 other finalists to win a share of £25,000.

In a "nail-biting" final round against one other player, Mr Thorpe was crowned the Mecca Bingo Slots Tournament 2024 winner and received a £10,000 prize.
“The whole night was surreal", he said, "I expected to go out in the first round as I’m not usually that lucky.”
Sharing the news with the rest of his family, he added: "They didn’t believe it until I sent them a photo of me and the big cheque!
"I can’t wait to celebrate with them all. None of them have been on a plane before, so we’re going to splash out on a big family holiday abroad”.
Robert Lee, head of MeccaBingo.com, described the evening’s win: “The club erupted into cheers as we crowned Andrew the winner of our first ever cross-channel tournament."
